Blanc, Aline

Born in Valle D’Aosta in 1986, italian artist Aline Blanc currently lives in Turin. She is famous for her portraits of Marilyn Monroe, and we predict she will have a great career in fine art. After taking a diploma at Aosta Art School she took a three year degree in painting at the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin, where she is currently finishing her honours degree. In the last year she has exhibited works in two group shows – one devoted to the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy (Galleria Spazio Dinamico, Turin), and the other on the theme of “squaring the circle” (Torre medievale di Settimo Torinese) – as well as actively contributing to the blog “Collettivoluminoso”, founded by her teacher Marco Cingolani. A figurative painter, she alternates between realistic watercolours on paper featuring birds , and large oil paintings of landscapes in Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta, and more symbolic, dream-like works.
